Cala Tirant

General information

Popular for kitesurfing in northerly winds, which are onshore. NNE and NNW also work but once there is too much E or W it becomes gusty, especially near the beach. The beach itself is sandy and good for rigging and launching from. There are no hidden rocks and the wind is consistent. The waves can get quite big and the shorebreak heavy. Further away from the shore the water is flatter although on big days large waves break further out too.

Kites usually set-up and launch from the west side of the beach. Either drive there or walk across the beach from the Playas de Fornells side.

Additional information
